Typography tour logo.

The first challenge for this brief was to decide on a logo, this would also dictate the tone of voice for the brief. I had initially considered using a stereotypical educational tone and creating posters that were in the style of the relevant exhibition. However, I didn't think that this would allow me to design with a concept in mind, so I decided to brain storm alternate tenors.

I wanted to add suspense and intrigue within the branding to entice an audience that could engage with the educational side of it.

At this point I thought I should re-evaluate and outline my target audience.

My initial intention was to give typography greater exposure to raise awareness that, as some have called it, the single most important aspect of graphic design. As part of a larger educational tour I will be concentrating on modernist typography. This will allow me to create an extensive range of collateral for a museum/exhibition space.

Target Audience
The purpose of this brief is to make students aware of what typography really is.

So from this I have started to look at how I can communicate the truth or secrets behind typography.

I decided to get the stereotypical options down first as I felt they could, with some development end up being interestingly used.

I am going to re-visit this imagery for the further advertising when I have developed a more ambiguous logo that can be used extensively...

I wanted to look into using type only for a generic widely relevant logo...
